We built Scrapit because we needed it ourselves. After trying everything else on the market and finding it either too complex, too expensive, or too unreliable — we built our own. Then we made it good enough to share.

01 Who We Are

Scrapit is a Shopify application developed and operated by Inspired Marketing — a digital agency and product studio focused on building practical tools for Shopify merchants.

We're not a VC-backed startup chasing hockey-stick growth. We're merchants and developers who understand the day-to-day grind of running an ecommerce business, and we build tools that make that grind a little easier.

We operate Scrapit under a simple principle: build the tool you wish existed, charge a fair price for it, and treat your customers the way you'd want to be treated.

02 Our Story

Scrapit didn't start as a business idea. It started as a problem.

As Shopify merchants ourselves, we constantly needed to import products from supplier websites, competitor stores, and product catalogues into our own store. The workflow was always the same — open a product page, manually copy the title, description, price, and images, then paste everything into Shopify one field at a time. For a handful of products, it's annoying. For hundreds, it's a full-time job.

We tried every tool we could find. Browser extensions that broke on half the sites. Expensive services with steep learning curves. Freelancers who couldn't keep up with volume. None of it worked reliably.

So we built our own scraper — initially just a script that ran in a terminal. Over time it grew into something with a proper UI, Shopify integration, and AI-powered field mapping. When we showed it to other merchants in our network, the reaction was immediate: "When can I use this?"

That's when Scrapit became a product. We packaged it, listed it on the Shopify App Store, and kept shipping. Every update since has come from real feedback from real merchants.

I built Scrapit because every other tool I tried was either too complicated, too expensive, or broke on half the sites I tried. I wanted something that just worked — and once we had it, keeping it to ourselves felt like a waste.

Scrapit is the flagship product of Inspired Marketing — a digital agency and software studio built around one idea: give merchants the tools and strategies they need to compete online without enterprise-level budgets.

Scrapit represents the software side of that work: tools we first built for our own clients, then made available to the wider Shopify ecosystem.

We believe great ecommerce tools shouldn't require a technical team or an enterprise budget to use. Everything we build is designed to be operable by a solo merchant on day one, with no onboarding call, no setup fee, and no hidden complexity.

The relationship between Scrapit and Inspired Marketing

Inspired Marketing owns and operates Scrapit. All support, billing, data processing, and product decisions for Scrapit are handled by the Inspired Marketing team. When you install Scrapit, you are entering into a commercial relationship with Inspired Marketing as the responsible operator.

We don't store your scraped product data beyond what's needed to complete an import. Your Gemini API key is encrypted at rest. We never sell or share your data.

🚢 Ship on feedback

Every feature in Scrapit came from a merchant request. We read every support message, track every broken site report, and ship fixes fast.

💰 Fair, transparent pricing

No hidden fees, no bait-and-switch trials. Our pricing page shows exactly what you pay and what you get — no surprises ever.

🤝 Merchant-first thinking

We are merchants. Product decisions come from that perspective — not from an investor deck. If something doesn't help a merchant, it doesn't ship.

🔓 No lock-in

All products imported via Scrapit live in your Shopify store. Uninstalling Scrapit doesn't remove your products or leave orphaned data behind.

05 What We Build

Scrapit is the first public product from Inspired Marketing's software studio. It targets one of the most time-consuming manual tasks in ecommerce — product data entry — and eliminates it entirely.

Scrapit — Product Importer for Shopify

Paste a URL. Scrapit fetches the product page, extracts the title, description, images, variants, and pricing, then maps it all into Shopify's product structure. With AI mode enabled, it handles messy or non-standard page layouts automatically using your own Gemini API key — so nothing ever leaves your control.
